  • April 21st at 7:00 pm. Be Wild Aware: Hiking and Camping Safely in Utah’s Wild Places. Antelope Island State Park- Join Wild Aware Utah in the visitor center for a free presentation. When hiking in Utah you are hiking in the presence of wildlife.  Learn tips to keep yourself safe and avoid disturbing wildlife while you are in their home.
  • Saturday, April 22nd from 11:30 until 4:00pm. Ogden Nature Center Earth Day Celebration – This is the largest Earth Day event in Utah with participation in hands-on demonstrations, activities, and informational lectures. Come check out our Wild Aware Utah booth.
  • May 13 from 9 am to 4 pm.Scout-O-Rama event at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy. Wild Aware Utah will give a free presentation on hiking and camping wildlife safety.
  • June 10th 10 AM to 2 PM Wild Aware Utah event at Utah’s Hogle Zoo  Hogle Zoo, and its outreach program Wild Aware Utah, are teaming up with various local and national wildlife groups and agencies, to help the public learn about predators and other wildlife – especially those found in Utah and the surrounding areas. Meet Zoo keepers and learn what you can do if you encounter animals in the wild, or right in your neighborhood. Stop by our display of a “bad” campsite and a “bear aware” campsite. Also, check out some of our Hogle Zoo animals as they interact with special enrichment items.
  • Join us for free presentations at several Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest campsites this summer: Wild Aware Hiking and Camping Safety. Learn how to enjoy Utah’s wild places and reduce conflicts with wildlife. 10 AM

    • June 3 Anderson Cove, 10 miles east of Ogden, Utah, on the banks of Pineview Reservoir

    • August 19 Spruces, located in Big Cottonwood Canyon
  • July 21st at 7:00 PM at Antelope Island State Park, free presentation by Wild Aware Utah in the Visitor Center amphitheater. Learn about snakes we have in Utah and the do’s and don’ts of encountering a snake in the wild.
